Building thriving communities starts with strong partnerships. It’s why Freeway is excited to announce our partnership with the City of Avondale to help amplify and accelerate its growing tech ecosystem.
Avondale, one of Arizona’s fastest-growing cities, has set its sights on becoming a hub for advanced technology, innovation, and high-impact entrepreneurship. Through visionary public-private partnerships, forward-thinking City leaders are opening new doors for startups, scale-ups, and advanced manufacturing companies ready to plant roots in the West Valley.
From hosting groundbreaking projects like the first Amazon drone testing and delivery site in Arizona, to supporting venture-backed vertical farming pioneer One Point One Farms, Avondale is proving that big ideas can thrive here. In addition to its physical assets, Avondale is advancing in the virtual world with the development of a Digital Twin, allowing users to visualize the City’s future.
Education and workforce development are also front and center. The City is home to Estrella Mountain Community College, where the first AI Learning Lab in the Country by Intel was launched, and is committed to preparing the next generation of tech talent — and keeping them in the Valley. With abundant warehouse and industrial space ideal for advanced manufacturing, including the upcoming 600,000 square feet Tech Campus, Avondale is clearly positioning itself as a hub for sustainable growth and innovation.
We’re proud to partner with the City of Avondale as part of our new City Series, a multi-city initiative designed to connect founders, civic leaders, investors, and innovators. Together, we’ll host programming that fuels collaboration and sparks new opportunities for businesses to launch, grow, and scale in the region.
Mark your calendars: our first collaborative event with the City of Avondale is coming up on September 18, 2025. More details coming soon!
Looking ahead, this partnership will create even more chances for entrepreneurs to learn, connect, and thrive. Members of the Freeway network are invited to join the City of Avondale and SMTA for the Advanced Manufacturing and Semiconductor Technical Symposium and Student Pitch Competition on November 6; registration and details forthcoming at SMTA.org.

We feel incredibly fortunate to work alongside civic leaders who understand that entrepreneurship is a community effort and that when the public and private sectors come together, everyone wins.
